Well, lately I've felt it better to have my real name affiliated with my work. And I'm kind of sick of soundxofxthunder :P

I have an older account, ~tomshandruk, that I'll be shifting my gallery to (including new works). This shift consists of not only moving the photos, but going back to the originals to upload higher-resolution copies, touching things up, et cetera. I'll post another journal entry when I'm done. The move should be complete by Monday, barring any unforeseen events taking place.

My name is Tom, and I'm a 15-year old guy from outside of Baltimore, Maryland, USA. I enjoy languages, engineering, and writing/reading. I speak English, French, and very basic Ukrainian. I am not as involved with other arts as I am with photography, as you can probably tell.

I enjoy photography because instead of showing an emotional representation of the artist's view on life, the photographer can physically show the world we all live in. It is up to the photographer to convey whatever emotion he or she desires by framing the subject, or finding the perfect moment in time to snap the shutter.

The name "Sound of Thunder" comes from a short story by Ray Bradbury.
